Lohri & Makar Sakranti Celebration

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Lohri, may the brightness and warmth of the glowing sun light up our lives with positivity, love and happiness! The festivals of Makar Sankranti and Lohri were celebrated by the enthusiastic students of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School by organising a special assembly. The programme was an amalgamation of interesting presentations such as song, dance and speech highlighting the cultural and scientific significance of these festivals. The winners of AARK, an inter class competition organised by the Computer department were applauded. Students of classes IX and X participated in  I M Bot wherein they used landbot.io as the software, students of classes XI and XII participated in  Ardour Ad. The programme culminated with the address by School Principal Ms. Monika Mehan who emphasized on the importance of celebrating our traditional Indian festivals with great joy and pride.

Christmas Day Celebration

Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is about forgetting self and serving others. It was a day of festivities at M.L. Khanna DAV Public School as the students celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and happiness. A special assembly was organised which was replete with amazing presentations such as Christmas carol, poems, speech and a fun-filled dance performance. The programme culminated with the address by School Principal who encouraged students to celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm and emphasized on the joy of giving, sharing, caring and helping the needy on special occasions.

National Mathematics Day

The students of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School celebrated National Mathematics Day as a tribute to the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on his birth anniversary. A special assembly was organised celebrating the contribution of Ramanujan and highlighting the importance of mathematics in our daily lives. The students showcased interesting presentations such as animated play on ' Hardy- Ramanujan Number ', song, dance, speech, poem and video on 'Application of mathematics in our day-to-day lives'. The school coordinator appreciated the students for their unique presentations and applauded them for their commendable efforts.

Guru Nanak Jayanti

M.L. Khanna DAV Public School observed Guru Nanak Jayanti by organising a special assembly. The programme highlighted the life and teachings of Guru Nanakdev ji - the first Sikh Guru. The assembly was a kaleidoscope of heart warming presentations such poem , speech and shabads as a tribute to Guru Nanak. School Principal addressed the students and emphasized on the religious and spiritual significance of this day.

Children's Day Celebration

Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.
M.L. Khanna DAV Public School celebrated Children's Day by organising a special assembly for all the students. The virtual celebration was an enchanting amalgamation of fun-filled performances such as dance, song, poem and speech. The programme was an ode to our blooming buds who bring happiness, hope, positivity and joy to our lives.
The assembly culminated with the address by School Coordinator who blessed all the children with her warm and affectionate words. Let's work together to create a better and brighter world for our children.
 

Solution for Pollution

The only solution to pollution is a people's humane revolution. 'सौहार्द' The Interact Club of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka organised a virtual assembly on the theme 'Solution For Pollution' highlighting the need to curb various types of pollution which are harming our planet. The event was replete with thought provoking presentations such poem, song, dance, animated video and dialogue on pollution. The programme culminated with the inspiring address by School Principal who sensitized the students about the importance of sustainable living and urged everyone to opt for bio degradable alternatives in their daily lives to enjoy the bounties of nature in the years to come.

The students of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School celebrated Diwali in a unique way. Sanjeevani- The Environment Club and Earth Links organised a special assembly to sensitize the audience about eco-friendly ways of celebrating Diwali. National Unity Day

To mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, M L Khanna DAV Public School celebrated 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' by organising a special assembly. The programme was replete with interesting presentations such as song, dance, poem and speech. The students paid tribute to The Iron Man of India for his invaluable contribution in achieving freedom from British rule and consolidating India as one great nation. School Principal-          Ms. Monika Mehan also addressed the gathering and emphasized on the importance of staying united and striving for higher goals.

Dussehra Celebration

Keeping the festive spirit alive, Dussehra, the festival of triumph of good over evil was celebrated at M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka with religious zeal and fervour. The virtual celebration was replete with interesting programmes. A soulful rendition of Ram Stuti was presented by students. Mesmerising dance hailing Goddess Durga enchanted everyone. Ramayana dramatization by the tiny tots of Kindergarten was the highlight of the occasion. Informative speech and beautiful poem glorifying the importance of the festival were also presented by students. Principal Ms. Monika Mehan applauded the efforts of teachers and students for presenting a marvellous programme. She acknowledged the efforts of the parents in motivating their children for enthusiastic participation in school events. Principal ma’am, in her encouraging address, also urged the students to respect their country’s culture and traditions and lead a virtuous life.

A special assembly was organised at M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka to pay homage to Gandhiji -the Father of our Nation on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Students paid their heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi through a virtual programme replete with interesting presentations such as poem recitation, play, song, dance and speech highlighting the contribution of this great soul for the independence of our nation and his services towards mankind.

Sanskrit is considered the language of God and has its significance since ancient times. Sanskrit Diwas was organized by the school to promote Sanskrit language. 14 सितंबर 'हिंदी दिवस' के रूप में मनाया जाता है । इस उपलक्ष्य में हमारे विद्यालय के हिंदी विभाग द्वारा आयोजित विशेष प्रार्थना सभा में  विद्यालय के छात्र एवम छात्राओं द्वारा चरित्र- चित्रण, कविता वाचन, दोहा गायन, भाषण तथा कठपुतली नृत्य आदि साहित्यिक विधाओं की सुंदर प्रस्तुति प्रस्तुत की गई।

Janmashtami

M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka celebrated the festival of Janmashtami with full zeal and devotion through an enchanting virtual assembly. The programme was replete with soulful bhajan, mesmerising song, special dance presentation on different phases of Lord Krishna’s life and an enchanting poem on delightful Bal Leela. Principal Ms. Monika Mehan appreciated the efforts of all the participants, emphasized on the importance of selfless devotion to the Almighty and the significance of our scriptures.

Rakshabandhan

Rakshabandhan, the festival to celebrate the pious bond of love between a brother and a sister, was marked with great joy and fervour at M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka. The students presented an e-assembly with an array of captivating programmes like melodious song, mesmerising dance and informative speech highlighting the significance of the bond of love between a brother and a sister. Principal Ms. Monika Mehan very beautifully described the purity of the unconditional love while emphasising upon that India is the only nation where this festival is celebrated. She also referred to the history behind the festival and made a mention of the only temple in India where the resplendent and angelic bond of brothers and sisters is celebrated.

The monumental event in India's freedom struggle, The Quit India Movement was celebrated by M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka with immense enthusiasm. 
Students recreated the significant event of India's struggle for independence with appropriate poem,skit and speech in an e-assembly organised on the occasion. Stellar performances by students  highlighting the main events of the epochal period not only enriched students with knowledge about the era but also infused the spirit of patriotism.

Independence Day Celebration

M.L. Khanna DAV Public School celebrated the 75th Independence Day with great zeal and fervour. Virtual assembly was organised to commemorate the occasion.The programme commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting ceremony. 

School Principal Ms. Monika Mehan unfurled the national flag and motivated the virtual gathering.The guest of honour Mr SS Dogra Assistant Professor Fairfield Institute of Management also joined Principal ma'am in the flag hoisting ceremony at school premises. 

Various patriotic presentations such as dance, song, role play,speech and the poem recitation highlighting the unfaltering grit and the sacrifice of the freedom fighters, were presented by the students in the virtual assembly.

Virtual Investiture Ceremony

The virtual investiture ceremony for the session 2021-22 was yet again a special occasion for M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka where the young talents of the school were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school with commitment, confidence and competence.  The solemn ceremony was graced by the school Principal and was watched live by parents, teachers and students.

School President Harsh Bhatia and School Vice President  Swagat Kumar Panda received their badges of pride and responsibility. All the other office bearers of the Student Council Committee received their e badges.

Fight the Bite Campaign

Like every year, Interact Club of school organised Fight the Bite Campaign. A live virtual event was organised to spread awareness on vector-borne diseases like dengue. Fascinating and thought-provoking programmes like speech, skit, song and pledge were beautifully presented by the interactors of the club. Winners of Fight the Bite campaign activities were also announced in this live event.

Van Mahotsav was celebrated at school virtually by Sanjeevani and Earth Links-the environment clubs of school. Live assembly was organised on the occasion to emphasise the need to plant more trees. Interesting and informative programmes like poem recitation, song and mime act were presented in the live event by the green brigade of school.

World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness and take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet earth. Sanjeevani and Earthlink, the Environment Clubs of M.L. Khanna DAV Public School observed World Environment Day by presenting a special virtual assembly on this year’s theme ‘Ecosystem Restoration’.

An array of interesting live programmes like poem, song, and dance was presented in the live assembly to promote need and understanding for protection of the environment.

School Principal Ms. Monika Mehan applauded the efforts of the green warriors of the school in spreading awareness on the need to protect environment and urged the virtual gathering to take forward the call to protect the earth that we share.

Buddha Purnima

Buddha Purnima memorializes and celebrates the birth and enlightenment of Lord Buddha. A special virtual assembly on the occasion of Buddha Purnima was organised by the school. Mesmerizing performances were presented by students in the live event displaying some wonderful lessons from Lord Buddha’s  life. To absorb the spirit of this occasion, the school choir resented a musical rendition. A captivating performance dramatizing the story of Prince Devrath and Prince Siddhartha was presented by the young dancers. The message of being kind to other fellow beings and not to quarrel with each other was also conveyed  through a beautiful poem and an inspiring  speech presented by students. Principal Ms. Monika Mehan, in her enlightening address, elucidated the 'Eightfold Path' which consists of eight practices: right view, right resolve, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right "samadhi". The e-assembly was an enriching soulful experience for all.

Together Reaching for Zenith

A special e- assembly Together Reaching for Zenith was organised to infuse energy, positivity and develop an attitude of helpfulness and kindness among all. The assembly began with chanting of holy Gayatri Mantra followed by DAV Anthem. A speech by Swagat, a poem by Arya and a group song emphasised upon how to keep ourselves motivated in this pandemic and also encouraged students to be helping hands to people in need. Principal Monika Mehan ma’am appreciated the efforts of students. She also focused that students must maintain a routine in the holidays and complete the holidays homework in time.

M L Khanna DAV School celebrated International Technology Day recently by organising a special e-assembly. The assembly began with the chanting of holy Gayatri Mantra followed by DAV Anthem. Sreeja of X A described how the technology has become a part of our life and has made many inventions possible. Swagat of IX A recited self-composed poem. A radio show by the students of senior classes emphasised upon to be careful while using technology as a hacker can breach your account and know personal details. They also talked about do’s and don’ts while using technology. Rohan and Prakhar gave an insight into virtual reality. The e- assembly concluded with Shanti Path.

Mother’s Day

“God couldn’t be everywhere, that’s why he created mothers.”  To celebrate the unconditional love and support of a mother, a special live assembly was conducted by the Kala Sangam Club of school. The students showered their love and affection on their mothers through various interesting programmes. Heartwarming presentations like poem, song and skit made everyone heart filled with gratitude for their mothers. School  Principal Ms. Monika Mehan applauded the efforts of Kala Sangam Club and reiterated the fact that a  mother’s contribution in a child’s life cannot be measured or quantified. It can only be felt. An enlightening  speech was also presented to pay homage to the great poet Rabindra Nath Tagore on his birth anniversary.

World Heritage Day  is celebrated on 18th April every year to promote awareness about the rich and diverse culture of  the world. ‘Parampara’ -the Heritage Club of  M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka organized a special virtual assembly to observe World Heritage Day. India is a colourful land of vast and diverse culture. Vibrant and interesting programmes like glimpse of historical monuments of India by the tiny tots, poetry recitation, Bihu dance and a tour to the diversified culture of India were very well presented by the students in the e-assembly. Special Assembly on Hindu New Year and Baisakhi

A special e-assembly to welcome Hindu New Year and Baisakhi was organised at M.L. Khanna DAV Public School. Hindu New year is significant as it marks the beginning of the Vikram Samvat 2078 and the festival of Navratri. The assembly began with the chanting of holy Gayatri Mantra followed by a speech on Baisakhi. A mesmerising Punjabi dance was also performed by the students. Principal ma’am in her address wished Hindu New Year to all the students and motivated them to perform their best in the new academic session.

The new academic session 2021-22 of the school started on 1st April with a positive note. A special e-assembly was organised to welcome all the students. Republic Day Celebrations

The 72nd Republic Day celebrations were held at M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka with full patriotic fervour. Principal Ms. Monika Mehan hoisted the national flag at the school premises. A virtual special assembly on the occasion showcasing soulful musical performances and foot tapping dance performances by the students propelled the spirit of patriotism and dedication for the country in everyone’s heart. Virtual celebration of National Mathematics Day was organized with great zeal and enthusiasm at M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka to commemorate the birth anniversary of the mathematics genius S. Christmas, the festival of joy and happiness; sharing and caring, was enthusiastically celebrated in a live assembly at M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka. Students

M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka celebrated Van Mahotsav to spread awareness about the need of planting trees. A plethora of online activities like poster making, was organized to sensitise the students about the importance of trees. The focus of the assembly was to motivate learners to become the protector of mother Earth and contribute their best in enhancing its beauty.

A special e-assembly was organized to show the love and respect for the Hindi language. Many activities like poem recitation, character depiction, play, poem recitation were presented. All the events highlighted the importance of Hindi and inspired the students to show their creativity in the language.

A special e-assembly to celebrate the Independence Day was organized by M L Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka. Flag hoisting by Principal madam in school premises was shown live to the students. Events like group song, dance and poem recitation filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervor.

e-Assembly on Physical Fitness

Most of us were confined to homes due to lock down. As a result our physical health was neglected. A special e-assembly was organised to create awareness on importance of physical health and also to introduce how simple exercises and yoga can be performed at home. Yoga and aerobics presented by students were demonstrated.


Welcome e-Assembly

The pandemic times made the schools think and adopt measures so that children do not miss their studies and other school activities and at the same time follow the guidelines issued by the government. Our school started online classes from Pre - School to Class XII. A special e-assembly was organised to welcome all the students on this new platform of learning and teaching.
