Inter House International Dance Forms Competition
Inter House International Dance Forms Competition was organized by DAV Public School, Dwarka for the students of middle school to appraise the students of different international dance forms like Can- Can (French), Tango (American), Cha –Cha (Latin), Bhartnatiyam (Indian).
The excellent performance of children left the audience mesmerized as the children danced with finesse and élan. This activity provided the learners with a chance to relate dance with healthy living.
Hansraj House emerged as a winner and bagged First Prize for their scintillating performance on the French dance Can Can. Vivekanand House which performed Cha Cha and Dayanand House which performed
Bharatnatiyam were the first runner up and the second runner up respectively.
Principal Ms. Monika Mehan appreciated the coordinated efforts of teachers and students and also appraised the students of importance of dance in our lives.
Inter House Spellathon Competition
An Inter House Spellathon competition for classes V-VI was held on 28th August 2014 at DAV Public School Dwarka. Students earnestly enhanced their vocabulary and were equipped with correct spellings of words used in our daily routines. It was pleasing to see students participate so keenly. They performed exceptionally well.
Khushi of V F, Aryan Pradhan of V F, Ananya Dubey of Class VI B and Aanya Sharma of class VI C from Dayanand House secured the first position. The Runners up were Ishaan Roy of V A, Aryan Raj of V D, Anshita of VI B and Sameera Kichilu of VI D from Aurobindo House.
Intra- Class English Rhyme Recitation
The Intra- Class English Rhyme Recitation for Pre-School & Pre- Primary was held on 21st July 2014 at DAV Public School, Dwarka. The tiny tots recited the rhyme with great enthusiasm and immense confidence keeping in mind the rhythm, presentation and expressions. The children recited the rhyme like “Ten little fingers”, “Johny Johny”, “Keep a smile” etc. From Pre- SchoolSumit(Plum) secured First Position, Ishaan(Strawberry) bagged second position,Akshara(Strawberry )stood Third. From Pre- Primary Anvi (Parrot) fascinated the audience with her rhymes and stood First. Hardik (Dove) secured Second position Yitika (Dove) bagged Third position.
The objective of this activity was to develop a feeling of aesthetic appreciation, fun and enjoyment of rhythms or sounds as well as sharpen the language skills of a child.
Intra- Class Poetry recitation for Std. I & II
The Intra- Class Poetry recitation for Std. I & II was held on 18th July 2014 at DAV Public School, Dwarka. The little petals recited the poem with great fervor and immense confidence keeping in mind the rhythm, diction and expressions. The children recited the poem on various themes like “Wonders of Nature”, “Mother”, “Importance of Environment”,”Save the Girl Child” etc.
From Class I B Khwaish Mathur secured First Prize. Angel Kaushik of Class IB , Chirag of Class I C andVedha of Class I D bagged Second prize , Devansh of Class I C and Tanisha of Class I E stood Third. In Std. II Gurnoor of Class II B mesmerised the audience with her poem and stood First.Aanya Srivastava of Class II B secured Second position, Anshika of Class II A and Amber Tripathi of Class II D bagged Third position.
The objective of this activity was to enhance children’s confidence & to develop recitation skills.

Inter – House English Poem Recitation Competition
The school organized an inter – house English Poem Recitation Competition on 30th April 2014 for Classes III & IV . Four learners from each house participated in the event. They chose the theme of their poems on their own. Mansi Jha of class IV B compeered the competition very confidently. Tanishtha from Hansraj House, Ananya again from Hansraj House and Pratham from Aurobindo House bagged the first , second and third positions respectively in the Class – III category .Atharv Deshpandey of Dayanand House, Anjaneya Sahu of Hansraj House and Vision of Aurobindo House stood first, second and third respectively in the Class – IV category. Some students from the audience also recited pleasing poems with great enthusiasm.
Inter House Shalok Chanting Competition
